Our Top 10 Songs of the Band The 1975 takes a listen to a group from Wilmslow, England who arrived on the music scene in the early 2000s. The band quickly become a fan favorite of young audiences in secondary schools with their sweet sounding melodies and teasing lyrical content that the female audience quickly fell for Their music crosses many genres from pop to dance to electro pop to rock. The band seems clearly inspired by the sound of the early 80s as opposed to the 70s in which there band is named after. We love the pulsating bass on this track that has a really cool early 80s vibe like bands like The Human League or Heaven 17.

Great piano groove that just works so perfectly. The whole Daft Punk thing is happening here with a little bit of The Weeknd thrown in. The songs”Girls,” was one of them along with the song “Chocolate.” The song is just so addictive in the groove, melody and lyrics. Just a perfect pop song that would sound great in any decade.
