Our top 10 Young Dolph songs list presents the music of the late South Memphis rapper and songwriter distinguished for his uncompromising hits. The 1985-born artist would become a national sensation in 2014 after releasing a series of mixtapes. Initially, Young Dolph’s musical style was inspired by fellow Memphis rappers. However, he would form his signature rap style characterized by boisterous deep vocals.

The rapper received even more fame after the release of the hit “Cut It” by O.T. Genasis as a featured artist in 2016. Eventually, the rapper released his debut album, King of Memphis, that same year. While the LP was a success, it ushered Young Dolph into rivalry in the rap scene with fellow Memphis rappers Yo Gotti and Blac Youngsta.

The artists took a dig at each other with the release of diss tracks (which is quite often for artists in the rap scene). However, things escalated quickly for Young Dolph, and now he was fighting to secure himself from people who wished to see him dead. At first, the authorities took in rapper Blac Youngsta after Young Dolph’s car was shot more than a hundred times. This time, Young Dolph made it out alive thanks to the bulletproof panels installed on his ride.

Young Dolph would later get shot at later in September 2017. After the release of his collaborative LP, Dum and Dummer 2 with Key Glock in 2021, Young Dolph hinted at quitting the music scene to concentrate on his fatherly responsibilities. Unfortunately, the rapper was shot dead in his hometown. A Street was renamed in his honor owing to his exemplary legacy in the music scene and in trying to improve the lives of other citizens in various ways.

Young Dolph’s Career Beginnings and Breakthrough

Young Dolph’s toddler steps into the music scene were marked by the release of his debut mixtape Paper Route Campaign. The mixtape was released independently on his label, going under the same title. The rapper’s first release under a new label was his 2013 collaborative mixtape with rapper and songwriter Gucci Mane, East Atlanta Memphis. East Atlanta Memphis was issued through 1017 Brick Squad. Young Dolph would once more collaborate with Gucci Mane and Peewee Longway in releasing the mixtape Felix Brothers in 2015.
