OneRepublic originated in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 2002. The band was formed by lead vocalist Ryan Tedder and guitarist Zach Filkins, who had first played together while attending high school in Colorado Springs. They gained mainstream attention on the MySpace platform after being dropped by Columbia Records and were later signed to Mosley Music Group through Interscope Records. Their debut album, Dreaming Out Loud (2007), included the hit single “Apologize,” which bolstered their fame with a remix by Timbaland. This track became a massive hit worldwide. Over the years, OneRepublic has released six studio albums, including Waking Up (2009), Native (2013), which included hits like “Counting Stars,” Oh My My (2016), Human (2021), and Artificial Paradise (2024). The band remained active in 2026 with new music including “Need Your Love.”

Ryan Tedder

Ryan Tedder is the lead vocalist and primary songwriter for OneRepublic, and he has been with the band since its formation in 2002. Tedder is known for his wide vocal range and prolific songwriting skills, contributing to all six of OneRepublic’s studio albums. His work with the band includes hits like “Apologize,” “Stop and Stare,” “All the Right Moves,” and “Counting Stars.” In addition to his work with OneRepublic, Tedder is an acclaimed songwriter and producer, having worked with a plethora of artists across various genres including Beyoncé, Adele, and Ed Sheeran. His songwriting and production have earned him numerous awards and nominations.

Zach Filkins

Zach Filkins is a founding member of OneRepublic, playing lead guitar, viola, and providing backing vocals. Filkins met Tedder in high school, and together they started what would eventually become OneRepublic. He has played on all six of the band’s studio albums and is known for the range of guitar textures he brings to the band’s sound. Filkins has remained a core member of OneRepublic since its formation.

Drew Brown

Drew Brown has been a member of OneRepublic since 2002, serving as one of the band’s guitarists while also contributing keyboards, percussion, and backing vocals. He has contributed to all six of the band’s studio albums and has co-written songs including “Stop and Stare,” “Say (All I Need),” and “Feel Again.” Brown’s guitar work and additional instrumentation add depth to the band’s music. He has also been involved in other musical projects outside of OneRepublic.

Eddie Fisher

Eddie Fisher joined OneRepublic as the drummer in 2005, replacing original drummer Jerrod Bettis before the release of the band’s debut album. His drumming has been featured throughout OneRepublic’s studio career, beginning with Dreaming Out Loud. Fisher has also contributed as a songwriter, including credits on songs from the band’s early albums. His energetic drumming style has been a cornerstone of OneRepublic’s live performances and studio recordings.

Brent Kutzle

Brent Kutzle joined OneRepublic in 2007 as the bassist and cellist, replacing Tim Myers. He became part of the band during the Dreaming Out Loud era and has since contributed bass, cello, keyboards, guitar, backing vocals, songwriting, arrangements, and production. Kutzle has played a major creative role on later OneRepublic albums, including Native, Human, and Artificial Paradise. His ability to blend classical string elements with pop and rock has helped define the band’s sound.

Brian Willett

Brian Willett first joined OneRepublic’s touring lineup in 2012 as a keyboardist and multi-instrumentalist and became an official member in 2019. He contributes keyboards, piano, synthesizers, percussion, violin, and backing vocals. Willett has also contributed to OneRepublic’s studio work, including Human and Artificial Paradise, and was the primary songwriter of the Artificial Paradise track “Singapore.” His role adds another layer of keyboards, electronic textures, and additional instrumentation to the band’s live and studio sound.

Jerrod Bettis

Jerrod Bettis was the original drummer for OneRepublic from 2002 until 2005. He was part of the band’s early development but left before the release of Dreaming Out Loud and was replaced by Eddie Fisher. After leaving OneRepublic, Bettis pursued a successful career as a songwriter and producer, working with artists including Adele, Gavin DeGraw, and the Lonely Island.

Tim Myers

Tim Myers was OneRepublic’s original bassist from 2002 until 2007. He participated in the band’s early recordings and co-wrote material that appeared on Dreaming Out Loud, including “Stop and Stare.” Myers left the band in 2007 before the album’s release and was replaced by Brent Kutzle. After leaving OneRepublic, Myers embarked on a solo career and continued working as a songwriter, producer, and composer for film and television.
