Most of his albums peaked at number one on both charts. He is one of the most influential rappers in music. He has the Midas touch so it’s not hard to see why he’s one of the most influential rappers in music. He has a lot of hit singles so narrowing them down to 10 was a challenge. We proved we were up for the challenge so our Top 10 Future Songs list will feature his best songs.

# 10 – Jumpman Drake ft. Future

The number one song on our Top 10 Future Songs list is “Jumpman.” It’s featured on the mix tape What a Time to Be Alive. The song has trap beat. The celebratory song is a tribute to Michael Jordan’s logo. The logo is a shot of the legend jumping in the air. This is a creative song dedicated to one of the most popular basketball players of all time. There aren’t too many songs dedicated to athletes. They certainly get an A+ for originality for the theme of this track. If you are a fan of Michael Jordan, you will enjoy this tribute to the NBA legend.

The music is infectious. It’s not the fastest beat, but you will be able to move around to it. It doesn’t sound like typical rap or hip-hop music. It sounds like a blend of r&b and hip-hop music. Fans of hip-hop music will go nuts listening to this beat. Metro Boomin’ did an amazing job on the production of this track. He made sure that the music was tight so that we can get hooked on the track instantly.

Drake and Future are a dynamic duo. They have recorded several songs together and this jam is one of their best. It was popular with the fans when it was released. Drake and Future get their chances to shine on this track. Their styles are different, but they somehow make it work. Drake has a drawn-out vocal while Future utilizes his mumble-style vocal. You will be amazed by listening to both artists.

# 9 – Love You Better

The next song on our Top 10 Future Songs list is “Love You Better” is from the album I Never Liked You. The song has a trap and r&b beat. The breakup song is about a man who wants to apologize to his former girlfriend. He wants her to find a better man for her than he was. He wants her to have a better life than the one she had with him. This song is a lesson to people not to take love for granted. You never know when you will lose it. People don’t always want to wish their former lovers well so we aren’t sure if he really means it. It takes a lot of maturity to want to see your lover with someone new.

This song gives Future a chance to show off his vulnerable side. He proves he doesn’t have to do just rap songs. He could do emotional songs as well. He showed growth on this track by being willing to walk away and let his former lover move on with her life. As most of Future’s fans know, he used to date Ciara. It’s possible this song is an apology to her since they broke up. She moved on with her life and this song could be his blessing to her to enjoy her life with a new man.

Future sings on this track so that was a change from his other songs. He raps on most of his tracks so it was strange to hear him sing a song. It makes sense that he chose a personal song like this one to sing. He sounds more heartfelt singing the song than he would have if he chose to rap the lyrics. He’s not known for his singing. In fact, you won’t think of him when you think of singers. He did give the song his all. He might be a little hard to understand because he doesn’t enunciate when he sings. You might have to read the lyrics to understand what he says.

# 8 – Mask Off

The personal song is from his eponymous album. The song has a trap sound. The emotional song is about his drug addiction. He talks about his battle with drugs and how they helped him get through life. The mask symbolizes what he was going through in his past. He considered himself being fake while he was wearing the mask. He wanted to take the mask off so he could be real with himself as well as others. He doesn’t want to hide anymore. He wanted to open up to his fans about his personal demons. We have to applaud him for his honesty. He wanted to be honest with himself and we’re here for it.

Future told a refreshing tale about wanting to be true to himself. You can use this song in your life as well. You don’t have to be dealing with drugs to want to take off your mask. Taking off your mask gives you a chance to be true to yourself. Future’s lyrics are powerful and will make you think. He proved that he is a deep writer with this track. It will be hard not to feel something while you’re listening to it.

The music is appropriate for the track. There is a flute solo in the song. The flute is a sample from the song “Prison Song” by Tommy Butler ft. Carlton Williams. You don’t hear too many flutes in hip-hop music often. It was a nice change and it made the music stand out. You can move around to the beat and enjoy the lyrics at the same time. If you are battling demons, you will want to have this track on repeat. You can still enjoy the song even if you aren’t battling demons.

# 7 – Perkys Calling

The vulnerable song is from his Purple Reign mix tape. The song has a trap beat. The honest song is about Future’s addiction to Percocet. He talks about his addiction to Percocet and how he wants to get high even when he’s sober. He hears the drug calling him. Future describes how drug addiction takes over his thoughts.

He thinks about getting high even when he’s not on drugs. He’s really honest about how bad his addiction to drugs is. If you don’t know anyone with drug addiction, this song will give you an inside look on what someone with an addiction is going through. You may not feel sorry for him because addiction is a choice, but you will get an understanding of what he’s battling.

If you are addicted to drugs, you will be able to understand what he’s dealing with in his life. Future lowers the walls by allowing the fans to know about his addiction to Percocet. He wanted to give the audience an inside look on what he goes through while he’s on drugs. He did a good thing by sharing his story because it could help people who are having the same problem.

We respect the fact that he’s using his platform to help other people in the same situation. The beat of this track is somber. It features the keys and the drums. It’s a simple beat that works with the track. Future is at home with this song. You can feel his pain as he talks about his addiction. His voice breaks a little while he’s singing the song. The mistake adds to the vulnerability of the song. He combines his rhyming skills with singing. His rhymes are excellent. He takes chances by singing on his tracks as well.

# 6 – Where ya At ft. Drake

The defiant song is from the DS 2 album. The song has a trap beat. The fair-weather song is about people who want to be around when you are on top. His “friends” walked away from him when he lost his job. Future talked about the new people who wanted to be around him once he became famous.

He considers them fake friends and has some questions for them. Future wanted to know where his “friends” were when he didn’t have anything. They suddenly appeared once he made money. You don’t have to be a celebrity to go through this problem. People tend to disappear when you don’t have anything they need and come around once you have something.

This song affects you differently if you are the one being used by people. If you use people, you will get an understandingof  how your actions hurt people. This doesn’t bring anything new to the table because other artists have talked about this topic. It’s a topic that never gets old. People continue to use people once they have money so we expect the subject to come up again. Future teamed up with Drake on this track.

They have experience with this theme so it makes sense for them to work on this track together. This song is different from the other entry on our list. This track hits hard. The beat will have you moving around in your seat. You may find yourself bopping your head while you listen to the guys do their thing on this track. Drake’s part isn’t as big on this track as it was on our previous entry, but he makes his mark on the track. Future is the star of this track. He shines like a diamond while he talks about people who want to be around him now that he has money.

# 5 – Low Life ft. The Weeknd

The next song on our Top 10 Future Songs list is “Low Life” from the Evol album. The song has a trap beat. The carefree song is about people who are proud of what they have and they’re not afraid to talk about it. They talk about all of the things they have in life. They want to have fun and don’t care who knows it. They want more money, women and drugs. They’re happy to let people know that they want it. They talk about being with married women and don’t care about what they’re doing. They are proud of the things they do and don’t need anyone’s approval.

This song is creative. People don’t usually brag about being low lives, but they are proud to say they are. They have to have a lot of confidence to record a song like this one. If you aren’t in the music business, you might find yourself rolling your eyes while they sing about being famous and having the women they want.

You do have to respect the fact they are bold enough to say what they say in this song. Future and The Weeknd are from two different worlds, but they managed to make this song work. They are both at home with this song because they have recorded songs about women and drugs so it makes sense they did this song together. The Weeknd sounds very similar to Michael Jackson while he’s singing. Future is in a class by himself. There aren’t too many rappers with his rhyming skills.

# 4 – Selfish ft. Rihanna

The hit song is from the album Hndrxx. The track has a pop and r&b sound. The hypnotic song is about people who love each other. They want to be together, but they are wrong for each other. They don’t want to be alone. Anything bad that has happened doesn’t matter anymore. They want to have one more night together. Their relationship is an enigma. It would be hard to understand the type of relationship they want to have. This song was for people who are in relationships like the one described in the song. You know it’s wrong to be together, but you want to throw caution to the wind and be together.

This track gives Future a chance to switch things up. He gets the chance to sing another song about being in a relationship. This song has crossover appeal written all over it. The song has a pop and r&b beat and it’s a change from his other songs. The song gives Future a chance to show his softer side. The beat is very catchy and has a classic pop sound. This sounds like a song you would hear in the summertime.

The track is more in Rihanna’s wheelhouse, but Future makes it work for him. He sings and raps on the track. His voice blends in with Rihanna’s while they sing together. He does rely on AutoTune in the song, but it doesn’t destroy the song. We have to admit Rihanna is the star of this track. She wins the battle between them. Future’s rhymes are amazing even though Rihanna shines brightly on this track. Future becomes a guest in this song after the bridge.

# 3 – Turn on the Lights

The idealistic song is from the album Pluto. The song has a trap sound. The fantasy-based song is about a man who is looking for his dream lover. The woman needs to be a mix between a “hood” girl and a good girl. He’s only been able to dream about her. He wishes someone would turn on the lights so his dream could be a reality. This is a deep way to talk about wanting to be with the woman of your dreams.

Future knows exactly what to do to make his songs stand out from others. He has a special gift of making something that is often talked about sound original. He is a versatile songwriter because he changes things up when he writes songs. He can talk about drugs one minute and being in love the next. You never know what you’re going to get when you listen to his songs.

This song is well produced. The music is exactly what the doctor ordered. It will please fans of hip-hop and dance music. It will be nearly impossible to sit still while listening to this track. The music features the keyboard and the drums. It does sound computer generated, but it will get you out of your seat. Future sings on this song. He doesn’t use his mumble-style vocals when he sings this track.

You can understand him on this song without using the lyrics. He may not be someone you would expect to sing on his tracks, but he doesn’t embarrass himself. He gets a little carried away on the chorus. His voice breaks while he sings the chorus, but he does a pretty good job singing the verses. He sings in time with the beat changes.

# 2 – Life Is Good ft. Drake

The metaphoric song is from the album High Off Life. The song has a trap beat. The boastful song is self-explanatory. Future and Drake are singing about being rich and enjoying the good things in life. They have something to prove to their haters. They wanted them to know that they have money and can enjoy the good things in life.

They want the people in their lives to know their lives are good. They don’t bring anything new to the table. There aren’t too many rappers who don’t boast about the money they have. It would be a shock if a rapper didn’t talk about the money or the women they have in their lives. They aren’t afraid to show their cocky sides on this song. They want their naysayers to know about their success.

This is another collaboration between Future and Drake. They seem to enjoy recording together because they have done it a lot. They are a great team so it makes sense for them to continue to work together. Drake opens the song with his verse. His rhymes are pretty good. People wanted to write him off because he got his start on a TV show, but he proved he could match rhyming skills with any other rapper in the business.

He is a successful rapper and people enjoy his style. The song takes a different turn when Future takes over it. The song slows down and sounds like a different track. Future’s mumble-style was put to work on this track. You will have to get the lyrics to understand some of the words he’s saying. He sounds at home with this track. They did the right thing by making the song have two different sounds. You get two for the price of one.

# 1 – Wait for U ft. Drake and Tems

The number one song on our Top 10 Future Songs list is “Wait for U” from the album I Never Liked You. The song has an r&b sound. The longing song is about a couple who want to be together, but don’t spend as much time together as they would like. The song is told in parts. Tems’ part of the song is about her explaining her feelings about wanting to be with him, but she doesn’t believe he wants to be with her.

She is loyal to him so she will wait for him. Unfortunately, when she gets drunk, she lets her true feelings come out. She has patience, but she’s getting tired of being apart from him. Their time apart is pushing her to her limit. Future’s part of the song is about him being appreciative of her being loyal to him.

He loves how she loves him despite the bad things that have happened. He wants her to know that he loves her even though they can’t always be together. In Drake’s part of the song, he expresses how lucky she should feel that he loves her since he has money. He feels that they may not be meant to be together if she has a problem with the way things are.

This is one more duet with Future and Drake. As we’ve said, they make a great team. They should work together more often. They have the Midas touch. Their songs end up being hits so they should keep working together. This is a fantastic song. Future added Tems vocals for the track. The song features a sample of Tems’ song “Higher.” She has a beautiful voice and she needs to get more attention.

She has a pretty alto voice. She doesn’t sound like anyone else in music. She sings throughout the song. She is a bright spot on this track. Future and Drake are on point with their rhymes. They rap in time with the beat. Future and Drake give each other room to shine on this song. We aren’t surprised this is a big hit because everything about the song works. It deserves to be number one on our list.
