Music fans first got to know the heavenly breathtaking voice of Vince Gill when he joined the popular band Pure Prairie League in the late 1970s. As lead singer of the tune “Let Me Love You Tonight,” the voice of Vince Gill was heard around the world on that magnificent hit. Vince Gill would eventually leave the band and sign his first solo recording contract with RCA Records in the 1980s. His first solo album was released in 1984 entitled Turn Me Loose. Vince Gill would release two more albums for RCA Records in the 1980s entitled The Things That Matter in 1985 and The Way Back Home in 1987.

In 1989, Vince Gill signed a new recording contract with MCA Records. Vince Gill would stick with MCA Records for the rest of his career. A fact that probably made MCA Records happy because of all the awards that Vince Gill would win throughout his career. In fact, Vince Gill would break records for the amount of awards he would win. This is simply astonishing. Vince Gill has so far celebrated winning twenty two Grammy Awards making him the most awarded male country music artist in Grammy History. Yes, that’s right, twenty two Grammy Awards. That’s like Stevie Wonder Grammy Award winning territory. Of course, Vince Gill’s award winning streak did not just stop with the Grammy Awards. Vince Gill has won four Academy of Country Music awards and fourteen Country Music Association awards. Thats a winner!

Outside of the celebration of awards won by Vince Gill, one must look at the body of work that Vince Gill has released. From 1984 to the present day in 2021, Vince Gill has released eighteen studio albums and seventy four singles. He has also released an astonishing sixteen compilation albums with many songs on those records having never been released on his studio albums. The amount of collaborations that Vince Gill has participated in is simply impossible to count. While so many fans know of Vince Gill because of his voice, one must also recognize his incredible guitar skills. He is one of the most respected musicians among his peers. When Glenn Frey passed away, The Eagles asked Vince Gill to join the band help fill in for the loss of the beloved former Eagles star.
