The Devil Wears Prada Albums Discography looks back at the band’s great metal albums that they released so far starting with their debut album entitled Dear Love: A Beautiful Discord which was released in 2006. The Devil Wears Prada have released seven studio albums. Their latest studio album was released in 2019 entitled The Act. The band has been labeled a metalcore group which is a common label for metal bands in the 21st century. Metalcore is a combination of metal and punk and thrash in which bands often just shout in very low pitch voices.
The band The Devil Wears Prada were first formed in the mid 2000s. The group’s original lineup who played on their first album consisted of Mike Hranica on lead vocals, Chris Rubey on lead guitar, Jeremy DePoyster on rhythm guitar, Andy Trick on bass guitar, James Baney on keyboards and Daniel Williams on drums. That lineup would stay together for the band’s first four albums. James Barney did not play on the groups fourth album entitled 8:18. That album would also be the last The Devils Wears Prada album to feature original members Chris Rubey on lead guitar and Daniel Williams on drums who were a very important part of the band’s sound.
The Devil Wears Prada’s fifth album entitled Transit Blues would feature a very different set of musicians on the album than were featured on their debut album. On Transic Blues, Giuseppe Capolupo was behind the drums while Jonathan Gering played keyboards. The band also featured a new guitarist in Kyle Sipress playing all the lead parts. Mike Hranica still remained the lead vocalist as well as Jeremy DePoyster on rhythm guitar and Andy Trick on bass.
The Devil Wears Prada’s most recent album entitled The Act was released in 2019. The same lineup that was featured on Transit Blues played on the album. However it would be the last album to feature original bassist Andy Tricke who left the band after the record was completed. The Devil Wears Prada is still a very much active rock band. We will update The Devil Wears Prada albums discography with each new release.
