Top 10 Songs From The Vamps

The Vamps Songs

Our top 10 songs from The Vamps list digs deep into the music of a British band famed for its pop-rock sound. The Vamps were formed in 2012 after guitarist James McVey decided to form a pop ensemble. McVey met vocalist Bradley Simpson through YouTube, with the duo teaming up to write songs. McVey and Bradley discovered drummer Tristan Evans through Facebook and bassist Connor Ball through a mutual friend.

Immediately after the band’s inception, The Vamps uploaded cover songs on its YouTube channel. Their cover for the song “Live While We’re Young” by One Direction saw The Vamps become popular in England. The band released its debut track, “Can We Dance,” in 2013. In just two weeks, “Can We Dance” had over a million YouTube views. The song managed to rise to number two on the UK Singles Chart, only unable to beat “Counting Stars” by OneRepublic.

The band released its debut album Meet the Vamps, in 2014. “Last Night” was yet another musical gem from the album that managed to rise to number two on the UK Singles Chart. Meet the Vamps (2014) peaked at number forty on the Billboard 200. The album settled for number two on the UK Albums Chart, second to Caustic Love (2014) by Paolo Nutini. One of the popular and successful songs on the album is “Somebody to You.” The band later released a new version of the hit featuring Demi Lovato.

Following the success of the collaborative version of “Somebody to You,” The Vamps released a new version of “Oh Cecilia (Breaking My Heart).” The new version featured Canadian pop star, Shawn Mendes. Despite being newbies in the music industry, The Vamps launched Steady Records, their own record label. The label signed The Tide, an American pop rock ensemble.

In 2015, The Vamps released its sophomore studio album Wake Up. This Gold-certified album managed to rise to position ten on the UK Albums Chart. On the Billboard 200, Wake Up (2015) managed to rise to number a hundred and eighty-six. “Wake Up,” “I Found a Girl,” and “Rest Your Love” are some of the musical gems featured on Wake Up (2015).

In 2017, the band hit the studio to release its studio album Night & Day. The album was released in two parts; the Day Edition and the Night Edition. Songs on the album saw the band collaborate with legendary artists, including Martin Jensen, Joe Don Rooney, Matoma, Sabrina Carpenter, and Mike Perry.

Night & Day (2017) failed to chart on the Billboard 200. However, the album’s Night Edition was The Vamps’ first album to make it to number one on the UK Albums Chart. The Day Edition managed a number two peak position on the UK Albums Chart. Night & Day (2017) was Gold-certified after making sales of over a hundred thousand units.

The band made an effort to release its fifth studio album Cherry Blossom (2020). Cherry Blossom (2020) led the band to its second number one album on the UK Albums Chart. Even though the band fails to subscribe to stereotypes, The Vamps has been compared to One Direction. The band has cited Taylor Swift, McFly, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, and Blink-182 as its influences. Here we present the top 10 songs from The Vamps sampled from the band’s five studio albums.
