Our Best Rock Albums Of 2014 continues the trend of the 2010s that is defined by classic rockers releasing new strong material. Standing at the top of that class was a raging new studio album by Bruce Springsteen that was fueled by guest appearances by Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello. Right behind Springsteen’s hot new album was another great one by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers as well as a string effort by U2, Bob Seger, and Sammy Hagar. Half of Pink Floyd returned with the release of The Endless River while Paul Rodgers, Robert Plant, and Santana helped round out the onslaught of 60s and 70s artists still releasing new material in the 2010s.
