Our Best Rock Albums Of 2008 presents the best 2008 albums released in 2008 that span all rock genres from metal to pop rock. 2008 will be remembered for the return of Axl Rose’s version of Guns N’ Roses and the release of the long-awaited album Chinese Democracy. However, the album sold nowhere close to what was expected. Nonetheless, it was still a great rock and roll record that was too harshly criticized. 2008 saw probalt the least amount of rock albums in years from musical artists of the 60s and 70s. There were also not many new bands formed. Still, rock fans were treated to a new roaring album by Sammy Hagar who never disappoints and a new album from Queen of original material with Paul Rodgers as the band’s new lead vocalist, or maybe we should say, partner.

2000 would be a year in which rock music took a back seat to pop and dance music superstars like Lady Gaga and Katy Perry who had huge hit albums and led a resurgence of dance and pop music that would dominate the radio, tv, and pop culture.
