Our Top 10 Simple Plan songs list looks back at the songs of a Canadian Band out of the city of Montreal first formed in 1999. The band has released five studio albums during their twenty plus years career. The group Simple Plan has also released two live albums as well as twenty singles and twenty-six music videos. There are one of the big modern rock bands along with Sum 41, New Found Glory, Jimmy Eat WorldFall Out Boy,and Blink-182 to have mixed the genres of rock pop and punk into well-packaged songs that teens fell in love with during the late 1990s and 2000s.

# 10 – Your Love Is A Lie

We open up our Top 10 Simple Plan songs list with the great track entitled “Your Love Is A Lie.” The song was released in 2008 on the band’s third album simply titled Simple Plan. This is a great song but it sounds very similar to the legendary Oasis song “Wonderwall,” especially on the verses. We are surprised there was never a lawsuit over this one.

# 9 –  I Don’t Wanna Go to Bed

Continuing with our Simple Plan songs list we present the cool track “I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed.” The song was released in 2015 on the album  Taking One for the Team. The band put on their funk dance shoes for this one. It’s fun to hear the horn section blasting in and out of the verses on this Simple Plan song. The band seems inspired by the popularity of Bruno Mars. The rapper Nelly makes an appearance adding his talents to the mix. We love the video spoof on the television show Baywatch as David Hasselhoff makes an appearance at the end of the video

# 8 – Untitled (How Could This Happen to Me?)

Why do bands release songs that are untitled. It just makes everything more difficult for everyone else in the business from distributors to records stores to writers. Its like bands that release albums without titles or artists that that drop their names entirely. Yeah you know who we are talking about. Nonetheless, this outrageous Simple Plan song was released on the album Still Not Getting Any…. It was the third single released from the album. It was a big hit for the band as it hit number 3 on the Canadian pop charts. It was also a top 20 hit on the US Billboard Mainstream AirPlay charts.

# 7 – Jet Lag

The start of this song sounds a little bit like the beginning of Guns N’ Roses huge hit “Sweet Child of Mine.” But then again it switches gears dramatically as soon as the vocals arrived on the scene. This song features a duet with Natasha Bedingfield. This is simply a great song and was a big hit for the band. It was released in 2011. The song would go platinum in sales for Simple Plan and Natasha Bedingfield.

# 6 – Don’t Wanna Think About You

In the number six spot on our Simple Pan songs list is the fun tune “Don’t Wanna Think About You” The song was released on the soundtrack to the Hollywood Motion Picture Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. This is a powerful rock and roll tune with an explosive beginning that serves as the song’s grand chorus.

# 5 – I’m Just a Kid

At the halfway point on our Simple Plan songs list we present the band’s debut single entitled “I’m Just A Kid.” the song was released in 2002. The song was issued on the band’s album entitled No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls. It has also been featured in multiple motion pictures including Steve Martin’s Cheaper by the Dozen as well as the movies Grind and The New Guy.

# 4 – I’d Do Anything

We love the opening guitar lick on this classic tune entitled “I’d Do Anything,” The song was released in 2002 on the album No Pads, No Helmets…Just BallsThe song was released as the second single from the album. It would become the band’s first song to chart on the US Billboard Music Charts as it peaked at number 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 16 on the US Billboard Airplay charts. It would do extremely well in their native home of Canada where it reached all the way up to number three on the Canadian music pop charts.

In the number three spot on our Sum 41 songs list is one of the band’s most successful singles of their career. The song “Summer Paradise,” would go platinum in sales. “Summer Paradise,” would become a top 10 hit on the Canadian Music Charts. It would also become on of the band’s biggest selling songs in Europe.

The single “Welcome To My Life,” would become the band’s first number one single as it peaked at number one on the Canadian music charts. # 1 – Perfect

In the number one spot on our Simple Plan songs list is the band’s most perfect song entitled “Perfect.” Sorry we just could not resist. Moving along….the song “Perfect,” was released in 2002. It was issued as the fourth single from the band’s debut album entitled  No Pads, No Helmets…Just BallsIt would become the band’s highest charting song of their career on the US Billboard Hot 100 where it peaked at number twenty four.
