Our best rock albums of 2004 looks at another year in the early to mid-2000s in which rock music saw the release of some great music by bands like Green Day, U2, The Killers and so many more old and new bands. The year saw Elton John return with his follow-up to his brilliant 2001 album Songs From The West Coast with a new record called Peachtree Road. While not as strong as West Coast, it was another well-done effort from an artist making his retune to pop and rock music after spending the 90s in the world of Disney soundtracks. One of the biggest surprises of the year was the debut album by the supergroup Velvet Revolver. The band was made up of members of Guns N’ Roses, Stone Temple Pilots and Wasted Youth.
